CF64 Winter Race at Cosmeston Lakes
Sunday saw the first race of our 2023 running championship with 60 runners on the start line! With the fantastic race help by our friends at Penarth & Dinas Runners, the CF64 Winter Race was a 6.4 mile mixed terrain race entirely within the Cosmeston Lakes Country Park in Penarth.
We came away with some fantastic results and some of our runners took on their first ever trail event and what an event it was! It had it all: ice, a dash of snow, hills, frost and mud.
- 1st Place female for Fffion Williams with a new course record
- 3rd Place female for Claire Walters
- 1st Place female for Heidi Waters in the V35 category
- 2nd Place male for Craig Merriman-Foley
- 3rd Place male for Mikey Davies
- 1st Place male for Darren Lewis in the V45 category
Race Report – CF64 Winter Race 2023 (Penarth & Dinas Runners)
It was so amazing to see our brand new club vests made by BRAV Endurance. We can’t wait to see our triathlon kits on show in the coming months.
Parkrun Tourism
As race fever was set the local Parkruns were quieter this week with a small few doing Swansea Bay and Porthcawl, but Team PTH also went on tour with Jules Jones and Rhian Powell at Grangemoor Parkrun in Cardiff and Amy Seppman at Alton Water Parkrun in Ipswich.

Upcoming XC & Race Dates
We have a busy few months with the second half of XC season, along with the other two club championship races, the Cardiff Bay 10k and Swansea Trail Half Marathon in Oxwich Bay.
