Weekly Round-up: Chepstow Festival of Running, West Glam XC and More

With January coming to a close, what better way to end than two fantastic events and an epic showing by Team PTH.

West Glam XC at Pembrey

Sunday saw the second fixture of the season for the West Glamorgan XC League at Pembrey Country Park, hosted by Tri Hard Harriers. All 6 of our teams turned out fantastic results and it was incredible to see even more athletes try their hand at XC for the first time and look like they had been doing it for years.

We won’t jump the gun to much but we pretty sure our Ffion Williams came a epic 3rd female in yesterdays race! Our teams will be back next week at Margam for more mud and hills.

Chepstow Festival of Running

The super popular Chepstow Festival of Running was held over the weekend. It was a mixture of distances from 5k, 10kk and Half Marathon!

3rd Place male for Sam Figgures in the 10k race
4th Place male for Sam Hodge in the 10k race
5th Place female for Cathryn Williams in the 10k race

Track Session at Cwrt Herbert

We started the week off with a track session for all abilities at Cwrt Herbert track in Neath. Good to see such a great turnout on a Monday night! This is a great alternative to our Tuesday speedwork session.

Parkrun Round-up

This week’s Parkrun action, following a week of disruption due to the ice, saw the locals Swansea Bay, Gnoll, Porthcawl and Maesteg in full flow and some tourism at Colby Parkrun for Amy Hines spreading the PTH magic.
