WHAT A YEAR it has been for Team PTH! It’s been a record-breaking year for us and we are just getting started! Watch out 2023!
We wish we had the space to list every single achievement in this one post, but we’d be waaay over the limit!
So what have Team PTH been up to in 2022?!
We saw complete beginners join our multisport and running disciplines and watched them train hard towards their goals, and saw them complete their first 5k without stopping, or their first sprint triathlon. We could not be more proud of the progress everyone at our club has made this year.
- 3rd Overall team at this year’s Ironman Wales
- 5 members qualified for Kona Ironman World Championships: Joe O’Shea, Mikey Davies, Craig Dummer, Hugh Pascoe and Heath Williams
- Team GB selected athletes competed across multiple disciplines in 2022 with more to come in 2023 – Cathryn Williams, Nick Thomas, Paul Bennet, Ian Williams, David Morgan and Claire Walters
- Our XC presence has seen largest turnout of PTH athletes EVER. Both in the West Glam and Gwent Leagues
- West Wales XC – saw the most PTH athletes ever selected
- Claire Phillips representing Wales in half marathon distance
- 3rd Place in the Welsh triathlon super series for Claire Walters
- 1st Place for Carolyn Williams and Chris Lewis in the Welsh Duathlon Championships
- Our Welsh Castle Relay stage winning performance (1st Place for Craig Merriman-Foley)
- 2nd and 3rd Place Team medals at the Welsh Road Relay Championships
- Multiple parkrun victories in various locations both in the UK and aboard
- The launch and absolute amazing success of the GV70.3 middle distance triathlon
- A year of forging new partnerships to ensure PTH continues for another 100 years with an incredible full line of kit from BRAV Endurance and Tarw Sports. Racing essentials, such as the world’s first custom fit goggles from The Magic 5 fuel and hydration from VALA Energy and Precision FandH.
