‘Tis the season to be swimming, cycling and running, it’s certainly gotten cold out there this week, but as per usual Team PTH have been on fire!
Run4All Santa 5K on Aberavon Beach
Our friends over at Run4All Neath hosted their brilliant annual Santa 5k Run down Aberavon Beach. This fun and festive treat is always a well supported event by Team PTH and this year was no different! A 5k by the sea and a Santa outfit were all part of the entry, perfect!
Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding Race 2022
The second festive race of the weekend, the Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding Race. The event starts with the Big Dipper sand dune which is a hard steep hill but it’s well worth it at the end for that Christmas pudding!
There was also mulled wine and mince pies handed out halfway round the 6 mile trail course. Snow and ice was the cherry on the cake for this festive race!
Parkrun: Peter’s 100th Parkrun and Top 3 Finishers
This week saw more Parkrun tourism both local and far! Swansea, Gnoll, Porthcawl and Maesteg saw most of the action. But Team PTH also went to the capital in Cardiff to spread some magic!
Gnoll saw Peter Richards’ 100th Parkrun! We had a fantastic turnout and celebrated in true Team PTH style with cake and goodies at the end! Happy 100th Peter and we look forward to your 200th!

Bethan & Craig Hit the Big Apple
Bethan Thomas and Craig Williams travelled across the pond and took on the Big Apple 5k in the beautiful Central Park, New York City. We’re sure they did some Christmas shopping as well seeing as they were there for the 5k!
West Wales Cross Country Championships
Following on from the Gwent XC League third fixture in Pembrey, we have two podium finishes as part of the West Wales Cross Country Championships to celebrate, we are so proud!
- Samantha Healy takes a Gold Medal (1st Place) in the Masters 45 female category
- Darren Lewis takes a Bronze medal (2nd Place) in the Masters 45 male category
West Wales Athletics incorporated this XC championship into the Gwent fixture where all West Wales club runners were eligible.
