Join us on August Bank Holiday Weekend for the Virtual Hilly 5 or ‘Not so Hilly 5’.
This year would have been the 10 Year Anniversary of the Tonmawr Hilly 5 and like most races we had to cancel due to the current global situation with Covid-19, giving all of our participants a full refund. The race usually takes place in the stunning Afan Valley.
Given the late cancellation we had already paid for and ordered the medals and had incurred other race costs that we have not been able to recover.
This virtual race will keep you motivated, give you another medal to add to your collection and also give you the chance to help us, a community running club, make back the money we have lost. We would really appreciate your support.
All you have to do is sign up and complete a 5 mile run over the course of the August bank holiday weekend. It’s your race, your route, your rules – please ensure you follow the recent Government guidelines in order to run safely.

After the Race
We will send you a beautiful medal in the post (please note these are our original medals from our event in May so will have Mays date on them).
After you complete your race you can let us know how you got on, or keep it to yourself – it’s up to you! We will use our survey results to celebrate some of your achievements on our Facebook page – quickest, highest elevation, etc.
We would love to see your photos/selfies of where your 5 mile run took you – was it hilly? Or not so hilly? Please post them on our PTH running events page after you have completed your run on either Saturday 29 or Sunday 30 August and we will be choosing a winner of the ‘best view from the top’.
