2024/25 Season

We have two teams, a men’s team and women’s team as Port Talbot Harriers. We all run as one for our seniors team however the league is also divided into other categories for different age groups. The Men and Women usually run separate races at different times. In this league every runner scores points.

For this league you must be registered/affiliated with Welsh Athletics in order to race and wear the white PTH vest/t-shirt only.

Before the race

Let your team captains know you intend to run the next fixture and they will register the whole team on the new online registration system ahead of race day.

Each athlete will be given a race number which will be kept for the whole season and their date of birth will be used to automatically work out their age category.

The entry fee is currently £5 per runner (per race) and the team captain will collect the money either at club or on the day to then be paid online.

On race day

The team captains will collect our team race numbers. Each number (bib) will have a unique barcode and when you cross the finish line a member of the race team will scan the barcode.

This new process will quickly identify each runner and produce results more rapidly. A finish line camera will be used as a back-up to help record the finishing order and that footage will be deleted once results have been finalised.
